Xiaomi C700 AI Security Camera with Advanced Night Vision

Xiaomi has unveiled its new C700 security camera for the Chinese market. The camera features AI capabilities and can record 4K video.

The Xiaomi C700 smart camera is equipped with an 8-megapixel sensor and can record video in 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. A relatively professional lens with five elements ensures high-quality imaging in low-light conditions.

The C700 has two small motors that allow it to cover wide angles of 360 degrees horizontally and 110 degrees vertically, eliminating blind spots.

Thanks to its night vision system, the C700 performs well in low-light environments. Ten 940nm invisible LED lights ensure that the image is clear up to a distance of 10 meters.

AI enables features such as baby crying detection, pet tracking, human presence detection, and sound detection such as glass breaking in the C700. These features are processed locally and ensure fast and accurate notifications without the need to store data in the cloud.

Xiaomi’s latest camera can recognize gestures such as the OK sign to initiate actions such as making a voice call. Two-way voice calling is established by a smart microphone equipped with a noise reduction system and a speaker.

The C700 supports dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and integrates with other home appliances and Xiaomi phones thanks to HyperOS. For enhanced security, the C700 encrypts data and uses the Mi Home security chip to protect sensitive information.

The price of Xiaomi’s new camera has been announced as 349 yuan (around $50) in the Chinese market.
