Xiaomi SU7: A Hit Among Apple Users

Xiaomi’s SU7 Electric Car Garners Over 50% Orders from Apple Users

Xiaomi announced on the sidelines of the Beijing Auto Show that nearly half of the buyers of the SU7 car are Apple users.

Apple users have shown a surprising welcome to Xiaomi’s first car, with apparently 51.9% of all confirmed orders for the SU7 car coming from Apple users.

During the Beijing Auto Show, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun pointed out that Apple users are among the main buyers of Xiaomi’s electric car. The popularity of Xiaomi’s car comes at a time when Apple canceled its own car project a while ago.

The appeal of the Xiaomi SU7 to Apple users is likely due to its compatibility with services like CarPlay. In addition, iPad users can easily sync their tablets with the SU7.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun wrote in a post on Weibo: “We are committed to making the Xiaomi SU7 the most beloved car for Apple users; a great choice for iPhone and iPad users.”

By April 24, more than 75,000 confirmed orders for the SU7 had been registered. Xiaomi has so far delivered over 5,781 units to customers.

The SU7 is offered in three variants. The car starts at 27,800 euros for the base model and goes up to 38,600 euros for the Max variant.

The Xiaomi SU7 Max is equipped with two motors and an all-wheel drive (AWD) system with a power of 495 kilowatts (equivalent to 573 horsepower). Xiaomi claims that with a 15-minute charge, you can travel 510 kilometers with this car.
