Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 Receives New Update with Amazon Alexa Support

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4, which was released last year, has received a new update that adds support for Amazon Alexa voice assistant. The update (version 2.2.80) was reported by a Reddit user.

The integration of Alexa with the Redmi Watch allows users to access various features through voice commands. Users can set reminders, timers, and alarms, and control compatible home automation devices through the smartwatch’s voice assistant.

Regional Limitations:

Alexa support on Xiaomi’s best smartwatch may have regional limitations. A user in the United States noted that despite receiving the update, they were still unable to use the voice assistant and received a message that it was “not available in your region.”

To test if Alexa works on your smartwatch, update your device’s software and use voice commands. If you can’t access the feature, the new version may not be supported in your region yet.

Redmi Watch 4 Features:

The Redmi Watch 4 features an aluminum alloy frame, a stainless steel rotating button, and a detachable strap for user comfort.

It is equipped with a 1.97-inch rectangular AMOLED display and has a 60Hz refresh rate with a maximum brightness of 600 nits.

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 uses a four-channel PPG sensor that monitors heart rate and blood oxygen. The watch is also equipped with an accelerometer, gyroscope, and GPS that tracks over 150 sports activities.

The Xiaomi smartwatch offers standard features including sleep and stress tracking, weather updates, stopwatch, app notifications, and more. It is also equipped with a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls.
