Xiaomi Fimi Mini 3: An Affordable Drone with High-Quality Features

The new and affordable Xiaomi Fimi Mini 3 drone features a 48MP Sony camera.

Fimi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has introduced the new, small, and affordable Mini 3 drone as a suitable alternative to the similar DJI drone. This drone uses a Sony camera and promises to capture very high-quality images.

The Fimi Mini 3 drone is very light and weighs less than 250 grams when using a smaller battery.

The three-axis gimbal in the new Fimi drone allows you to capture blur-free photos even in strong winds and when moving quickly. The 48MP Sony camera is mounted on the gimbal and has a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor size.

The image signal processor (ISP) significantly improves image quality in low light and at night thanks to artificial intelligence. The camera has a 79-degree field of view.

Video recording on the Fimi Mini 3 can be done in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. The drone can fly for up to 32 minutes at a maximum speed of 65 kilometers per hour and can withstand winds of up to 36 kilometers per hour.

The Fimi Mini 3 drone supports GPS, Beidou, Glonass, and Galileo positioning systems, so it can independently return to its starting point.

Multiple tracking modes are built into the drone, allowing it to follow its owner while surfing or cycling. The communication range with the drone is said to be up to 9 kilometers.

The Fimi Mini 3 is available directly from the manufacturer for under $300 and is scheduled to ship in late April.
