Xiaomi 14 Ultra Hits 5Gbps Download Speed on 5.5G Network

A Xiaomi smartphone has achieved a download speed of 5 gigabits per second (Gbps) on China Mobile’s 5.5G network.

Chinese telecom companies have been taking big steps in the development of 6G networks. The 5.5G network (commercially known as 5G-A) is the latest, most stable, and fastest service offered in this area.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is one of the few devices that commercially supports 5G-A internet in China.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is Xiaomi’s best phone and competes with the best Samsung and iPhone. This flagship product is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is one of the most powerful processors on the market.

Qualcomm posted on the Chinese social network Weibo to confirm the support of its processors for 5G-A internet technology. The American company confirmed the presence of 3CC and 1024QAM capabilities in the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is required for the 5G-A network.

According to tests conducted by the operator China Mobile, the download speed of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with 5G-A has reached a remarkable 5,132 megabits per second. 5G-A technology has higher speed and stability, lower connection delay, and better energy efficiency compared to 5G technology.

China Mobile exclusively offers 5G-A mobile internet technology in China. The Vivo X100 Pro and Oppo Find X7 smartphones are also available with 5G-A network support.

Access to 5.5G internet is only possible in some cities in China and with limited models of mobile phones.
