Meta is offering thousands of dollars in bonuses to content creators to increase their interest in Threads

In an effort to incentivize content creation on its Threads app, Meta is launching a new bonus program that will reward select creators with substantial payouts. The details of this program, which has not yet been officially announced, have been revealed through the Instagram support page.

According to the Instagram support page, creators can earn money based on the performance of their Threads posts or the number of posts they publish. Meta has indicated that the bonus terms will vary for each creator.

The bonus program appears to be in the early stages of testing and is being rolled out to a limited number of creators. Meta hopes that by offering these incentives, it can encourage more creators to actively engage on Threads.

Meta has previously offered bonuses for posting Reels on Facebook and Instagram, but this marks the first time the company has extended such a program to Threads.

Some creators are reportedly being offered up to $5,000 for posts or replies that receive over 10,000 views. While this amount falls short of the $10,000 bonuses available for Reels on Instagram, it still represents a significant reward considering the lower effort required to produce Threads content.

Meta is not the only platform vying for creators’ attention with financial rewards. Many other social media networks offer similar bonus programs based on user engagement with posts.

Since its launch last year, Threads has experienced steady growth and now boasts over 150 million monthly active users, according to Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg has expressed his belief that Threads has the potential to reach one billion users in the future.
