Jack Dorsey Steps Down from Bluesky Board

Jack Dorsey has officially announced his departure from the board of directors of the social network Bluesky.

Dorsey took to social media platform X to announce that he is no longer on the board of Bluesky. He did not provide any information about the reason or manner of his departure from Bluesky.

The exact timing of Dorsey’s departure from Bluesky is unclear; however, his name is still listed on the Bluesky website as a member of the board of directors.

Jack Dorsey first introduced Bluesky in 2019, while he was still CEO of Twitter (now X). He wrote at the time, “Twitter is funding a small team of up to 5 engineers and designers to develop an open decentralized standard for social media.”

After its initial unveiling, Bluesky spun off into a separate company led by Jay Graber. Dorsey appears to have deleted his Bluesky account last year. He also recently deleted his Instagram account.

Dorsey has had a busy week since returning to X, not only sharing company news but also commenting on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.
