HTC U24: A Mid-Range Comeback in the Works?

HTC is reportedly planning to make a comeback to the market with a mid-range smartphone after a long hiatus.

The company is said to be working on a new phone that is expected to be launched soon. The phone has been spotted on Geekbench and has also received Bluetooth SIG certification.

The new HTC phone has the model number 2QDA100 and is likely to be the successor to the U23. This suggests that it could be launched as the U24 or U24 Pro. The new HTC phone scored 1,095 and 3,006 in the single-core and multi-core Geekbench tests, respectively.

The 2024 HTC phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which features an octa-core CPU and Adreno 720 GPU. The phone is likely to have 12GB of RAM and run Android 14.

The previous HTC U23 model used the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, so the U24 series is expected to offer better performance. The Bluetooth SIG certification confirms that the device will support Bluetooth 5.3.

The full specifications of the new HTC phone have not yet been revealed, but it is likely to have many similarities to its predecessor, such as a 6.7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as IP67 dust and water resistance.

The U24’s battery may be larger than the 4,600mAh battery found in the U23 series. At present, there are no details on the price of the new HTC phone or when it will be released.
