Google Pixel 8a Revealed in Four Eye-catching Colors: A Competitor to the Galaxy A55

The Google Pixel 8a, expected to be unveiled in May, has been spotted in four color variants: white, black, blue, and a vibrant green.

Design and Display:

Numerous renders of the latest Google phone have emerged, but recently leaked images showcase four distinct color options for the Pixel 8a, reportedly dubbed Obsidian, Porcelain, Bay, and Mint.

The images attributed to the Pixel 8a reveal relatively thick bezels surrounding the display. Based on the new pictures, the Pixel 8a’s bezels appear slightly larger than those of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and roughly resemble those of the Pixel 7a.

Colors and Variants:

The color names associated with the Pixel 8a are said to be tentative. The black, white, and blue hues align more closely with previous generations of Google’s flagship phones, while the green variant bears no resemblance to the Mint color introduced by Google for the Pixel 8 earlier in 2024.

Unlike the Pixel 7a, the Pixel 8a in all four colors features a matte plastic rear panel.

The Pixel 8a green is likely to be a Google Store exclusive, similar to the Coral color option for the Pixel 7a.

Launch and Availability:

The Pixel 8a is anticipated to be unveiled at the Google I/O conference in May. However, no concrete information regarding the exact launch date or pricing has been released.

Overall, the Pixel 8a appears to be a promising mid-range smartphone offering from Google. With its vibrant colors, capable chipset, and expected Pixel-exclusive software features, it could pose a challenge to the likes of the Samsung Galaxy A55.
