Chinese Operator Launches 5.5G Network

China Mobile has unveiled its 5.5G network, also known as 5G-A (5G Advanced). The OPPO Find X7 is the first smartphone to support this new technology.

China Mobile has played a leading role in developing 5G-A standards. The company will begin the world’s largest commercial deployment of 5G-A services in more than 300 cities in China this year. It also plans to promote more than 20 5G-A compatible smartphones.

To showcase the new network, China Mobile has set up 5G-A experience halls in various locations across China. Customers can visit these halls to experience 5.5G firsthand using the OPPO Find X7 Ultra.

Gao Tongqing, a senior executive at China Mobile, said that the launch of the 5.5G network will accelerate the development of new information infrastructure and allow users to fully utilize the capabilities of 5G.

China Mobile plans to expand its 5.5G network in China by working with chip manufacturers and suppliers. Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou are among the first cities in China to get the 5G-A network.
